[Meet Bob]

[The Gallery Orange]

Wow! Where has the month of January gone? Time has flown by here at Photo Source. It seems many of our clients were burning the candle at both ends from December thru the beginning weeks of January finalizing their literature and catalogs for 2007. We have made every deadline, and hope you did too.

Photo Source has efforts to invest in new technology in order to stay current with high-end digital photography. Among our newest investments is a Raid file server. The Raid is a stabilized data storage unit configured for 1.5 terabytes of image data. That's 1,500,000 mega bytes! The equivalent to approximately 19,000 high resolution digital photo files or 2,027 FULL CDs of high resolution images. This capacity helps to keep things running quickly and allows for plenty of precious reliable archive space.

Also as promised last year, we have added additional new electronic flash units, which helps us to deliver the most accurate color and exposure critical in today’s digital photography.

With the many advancements in today’s printing world, I am excited to announce that Photo Source has made a consorted effort to study this area this year. We are teaming with various experts on color management

and committing considerable time and resources, so that we may better understand and facilitate color reproduction in print. Photo Source promises to deliver the finest in creative high-resolution digital photography today and be knowledgeable with regards to the technological and stylistic trend advancements in our industry.

Theresa Talks Simplicity

by Theresa Crnko

Can someone tell me how it is already 2007? How come as you get older the years seem to go by faster and faster? It seems as though yesterday was Thanksgiving and now we are already in February. Were does the time go?

It makes me wonder if I am making the most of my time... Am I learning that foreign language, mastering the violin or crossing off any of those items on my "Things I would like to do" list?
Everyone has one of those lists. But how many of us really do all those things? Our lives seem to be so occupied by all those day to day things which are necessary for today's comforts. It seems as though the more modern day "comforts" we have, the less time for ourselves we can enjoy. We are too overwhelmed with working, commuting, cleaning the house, grocery shopping, etc. I constantly feel busy, but with nothing to make note of. So what is the answer?

I am beginning to think that a simple life is the way to go. Don't clutter things up. Turn off the T.V, leave the dusting for tomorrow and go take some time for you. As far as I know, the world won't end if you can see dust on your bookcase. So go see that exhibit that you have been wanting to see. Spend some time with that friend you haven't seen in you don't know how long. What will you remember more one year from now? That your kitchen floor was sparkling on February 12th or the way that trip to the art museum inspired you to create your favorite painting to date? During my meager 34 years on earth I have learned that life is short. I know it has been said many times before by those much wiser than myself, but I for one want to make the most of it. So if you will excuse me, I need to go and do one of those things on my list.

Bob, not your everyday fish

If you didn't already know, Bob is the official Photo Source Mascot. Bob is a female Central American Midas Cichlid. Not just your ordinary fish, Bob is very social and will swim to greet any visitors. She likes to occupy her time re-decorating her tank. (Yes she actually picks up rocks in her mouth and moves them around her tank). She also enjoys exercising by playing with various homemade toys. Don't believe us? Check out the
Bob video and web page at our web site or drop in for a visit sometime - she loves company!
